Motijheel Ideal School

The school was founded on March 15, 1965. Following the inauguration till 1968 it was a junior school. In 1972 the school was converted into a High School. The students from the school participated in Secondary School Certificate Examination (O-level equivalent) for the first time in 1973. Ideal School and College (Bengali:  also known as Ideal High School (its name up to 1990) or Motijheel Ideal School, is an educational institution in Bangladesh established in 1965. Although the school was set up to cater for the need of the children of surrounding areas, students come from all parts of Dhaka. In the SSC examination of 2008, it became the most successful school in the country in terms of total number of students achieving GPA 5.In 2009 it also achieved the highest percantage of both G.P.A 5 and passing rate. Ideal School and College have three campuses around Dhaka in Motijheel, Banashree and recently opened in Mugda.

Dhaka Eden Girls' College

Eden Girls' College originated from a school for Brahmo girls established by Shubha Sadhini Sabha (a philanthropic society) in dhaka in 1873. Initially, the classes of the school were conducted in a private house at farashganj. In 1878, the school was merged with another private girls' school to form Dhaka Female School. The same year the school administration took the initiative to bring it under government management and proposed it be called Eden Girls' School after the Lieutenant Governor Sir Ashley Eden. Given its new status, it started functioning at a new location at Laxmibazar.

Bidyamayee Girls' High School

Bidyamayee Girls' High School is 137 years old and still going strong as a reputable educational institute of Mymensingh. It is most likely that every second female student of the town has been a student of this institute. The school was nationalised in 1912. The first headmaster of the school was Sree Nabokumar Samaddar who continued his service till 1912. After him Sreemoti Bhakti Sudha Ghosh took over as the head teacher. The school has a number of sweet memories to recollect. One is the visit of Nobel Laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore to the school in 1926.
